Executive Language Tutors Director's Biography
Founder and Consulting Director of Executive Language Tutors, Janette Sedgebeer trained at Westminster Teaching College and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). She is a professional English language teacher and Speech and Voice Associate of LAMDA, and she holds qualifications in English language teaching and performance. Janette has over
30 years’ teaching experience to young people and adults.
Janette specialises in the delivery of spoken English for overseas and native speakers and trains her students in British Received Pronunciation.
Janette is a highly skilled teacher in accent reduction, correctional techniques and Language 1 interference with Language 2 and is currently carrying out research in ELT and Applied Linguistics at King’s College, London.
Janette is rapidly becoming an expert in the field of spoken English language training and she works closely with other English language training providers in supplying her specialised teaching skills.
Janette comes from a strong academic and industrial background and was nominated Ambassador for Higher Education in 1998. She has solid industrial experience in law, finance and the built environment professions, which sectors demand her expertise.
Janette has been published for work in the built environment professions.
