Reminder - Foundation Undergraduates - January Assignment Deadline

Attention All Foundation Degree University Students!

Your December assignments should have by now been submitted and you are busily working on your next assignment for 7 January 2010.

Do not forget that we are here to help with essay writing skills, proof-reading, referencing and other valuable skills needed for you to perform at undergraduate level.

Once again, do not leave your assignment to the last minute!

A Replacement Bus?

And what is a Replacement Bus?

We have many strange things in the UK which often puzzle our overseas visitors, one of which is our replacement bus service.

If there are difficulties with the train service, the train company may provide a bus service which replaces the train and will take you, on receipt of your train ticket, to your destination.

So, it is not a bus replacing a bus, although the idea would be widely welcomed by many UK residents!

Starting in January 2010 - Received Pronunciation Training for English Teachers

There appears to be a lack of Received Pronunciation ("RP") English teachers in the TEFL sector. To address the shortage, we will be running our first RP training course for English teachers in mid-January 2010.

If you are interested in joining our first course to learn how to teach Received Pronunciation spoken English, then please contact Janette Sedgebeer at janette.sedgebeer@executivelanguagetutors.com

Executive Language Tutors have now made available the sound files for Received Pronunciation training for Chinese and Japanese speakers which may be purchased in the Shop.

GCSE English Language & Literature - Summer Exams 2010

The June 2010 exams are rapidly approaching, and we are receiving many calls from anxious parents and pupils.

The Poetry and Media English sections of the exam papers are the most demanding with many candidates struggling to understand what the poet is saying, or the complexities of structural and presentational devices in Media.

We are offering discounts to all GCSE English pupils who will be taking the summer examination.

If you are a GCSE English pupil entered for the Summer 2010 exam and you require personal tutoring, then please contact us immediately on 020 7884 0441 to book your GCSE English tuition time.

Please do not leave booking your English tuition to the last moment.
